Jubal [Jū'bal]—playing, ram’s horn or a trumpet. The younger son of Adah, wife of Lamech, and the inventor of musical instruments (Gen. 4:21). Jubilee is from his name, which is used to describe the trumpet employed at the glad time of the Jewish jubilee.
