¹⁶ The ones speak out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the good-news; ¹⁷ but the others are proclaiming Christ out of selfish-interest, not purely, supposing to raise trouble in my imprisonment. ¹⁸ What indeed does it matter except that^[a] in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed!
