44 In a similar way, the bandits[a] who were being crucified with him kept insulting him.

45 From noon[b] on, darkness came over the whole land[c] until three in the afternoon.[d] 46 About three o’clock,[e] Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eli, eli,[f] lema sabachthani?”,[g] which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”[h]
