Mark 9:41-43

⁴¹ And whoever gives you a cup of water to drink^(A) in my name, because you belong to Christ^(B) —truly I tell you,^(C) he will never lose his reward.^(D)

Warnings from Jesus

⁴² “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away^(E) —it would be better for him if a heavy millstone^(F) were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

⁴³ “And if your hand causes you to fall away, cut it off.^(G) It is better for you to enter life maimed^(H) than to have two hands and go to hell, the unquenchable fire.^[a](I)
