John 12:34-36

³⁴ Then the crowd replied to him, “We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain forever.^(A) So how can you say, ‘The Son of Man^(B) must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

³⁵ Jesus answered, “The light will be with you only a little longer.^(C) Walk while you have the light^(D) so that darkness doesn’t overtake you.^(E) The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.^{(F) 36} While you have the light,^(G) believe in the light so that you may become children of light.” Jesus said this, then went away and hid from them.^(H)
