Jeremiah 23:8-10

New International Version

My heart^(B) is broken within me;
    all my bones tremble.^(C)
I am like a drunken man,
    like a strong man overcome by wine,
because of the Lord
    and his holy words.^(D)
10 The land is full of adulterers;^(E)
    because of the curse^[a](F) the land lies parched
    and the pastures^(G) in the wilderness are withered.^(H)
The prophets follow an evil course
    and use their power unjustly.
