⁵ I myself will fight^(A) against you with an outstretched hand^(B) and a mighty arm^(C) in furious anger and in great wrath.

⁹ I will make them abhorrent^(A) and an offense to all the kingdoms of the earth, a reproach and a byword,^(B) a curse^[a](C) and an object of ridicule, wherever I banish^(D) them.

⁹ I will drive you out of the city and deliver you into the hands^(A) of foreigners and inflict punishment on you.^(B)

⁷ I will set my face against^(A) them. Although they have come out of the fire^(B), the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord.^(C)

² I will gather all the nations^(A) to Jerusalem to fight against it;^(B) the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped.^(C) Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.^(D)
