²² therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: “Behold, I will punish them. The young men shall die by the sword, their sons and their daughters shall die by famine,

¹⁶ And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, ^(A)with none to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.

^9 (A)And I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his neighbor ^(B)in the siege and in the distress, with which their enemies and those who seek their life afflict them.’
