²¹ And the Lord smelled ^(A)a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again ^(B)curse the ground for man’s sake, although the ^(C)imagination^[a] of man’s heart is evil from his youth; ^(D)nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

¹⁸ And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a ^(A)burnt offering to the Lord; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord.

⁹ Then the priest shall take from the grain offering ^(A)a memorial portion, and burn it on the altar. It is an ^(B)offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.

^12 (A)As for the offering of the firstfruits, you shall offer them to the Lord, but they shall not be burned on the altar for a sweet aroma.
