¹³ And when God had me wander^(A) from my father’s household,^(B) I said to her, ‘This is how you can show your love to me: Everywhere we go, say of me, “He is my brother.”’”

⁴ but will go to my country and my own relatives^(A) and get a wife for my son Isaac.^(B)”

²⁷ saying, “Praise be to the Lord,^(A) the God of my master Abraham,^(B) who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness^(C) to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey^(D) to the house of my master’s relatives.”^(E)

⁴⁰ “He replied, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked faithfully,^(A) will send his angel with you^(B) and make your journey a success,^(C) so that you can get a wife for my son from my own clan and from my father’s family.^(D)
