¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram^(A) and said, “To your descendants I give this land,^(B) from the Wadi^[a] of Egypt^(C) to the great river, the Euphrates^(D)—

⁷ Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites;^(A) go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah,^(B) in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev^(C) and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites^(D) and to Lebanon,^(E) as far as the great river, the Euphrates.^(F)

⁴ Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon,^(A) and from the great river, the Euphrates^(B)—all the Hittite^(C) country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.^(D)

¹² The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates,^(A) and its water was dried up to prepare the way^(B) for the kings from the East.^(C)
