2 I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law or by the hearing[a] of [b] faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun-with[c] the Spirit are you now perfecting-yourselves[d] with the flesh? 4 Did you suffer[e] so many things in-vain— if indeed it really was in-vain?
