7 Each guardhouse[a] measured one reed[b] long and one reed[c] wide, and the distance[d] between each guardhouse was five cubits.[e] The threshold of the gate near the vestibule facing away from the Temple entrance[f] measured one reed.[g]
8 Next, he measured the vestibule of the gate facing away from the Temple entrance at one reed.[h] 9 He measured the vestibule of the gate inside at eight cubits[i] and the doorjambs at two cubits.[j] (The vestibule at the gate faced away from the Temple.)
