Proclamation Against Philistia

¹⁵ ‘Thus says the Lord God: ^(A)“Because ^(B)the Philistines dealt vengefully and took vengeance with ^[a]a spiteful heart, to destroy because of the ^[b]old hatred,” ¹⁶ therefore thus says the Lord God: ^(C)“I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the ^(D)Cherethites ^(E)and destroy the remnant of the seacoast. ¹⁷ I will ^(F)execute great vengeance on them with furious rebukes; ^(G)and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I lay My vengeance upon them.” ’ ”
