³⁶ Sacrifice a bull each day^(A) as a sin offering to make atonement^(B). Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate^(C) it.

³⁰ The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin.^(A) But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement^(B) for your sin.”

²⁵ God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,^[a](A) through the shedding of his blood^(B)—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished^(C)—

¹⁰ And by that will, we have been made holy^(A) through the sacrifice of the body^(B) of Jesus Christ once for all.^(C)

¹¹ Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices,^(D) which can never take away sins.^{(E) 12} But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins,^(F) he sat down at the right hand of God,^(G)
