¹¹ They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die?^(A) What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?

³ Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword?^(A) Our wives and children^(B) will be taken as plunder.^(C) Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?^(D)”

¹³ Isn’t it enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey^(A) to kill us in the wilderness?^(B) And now you also want to lord it over us!^(C)
