¹² Kiss his son,^(A) or he will be angry
    and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath^(B) can flare up in a moment.
    Blessed^(C) are all who take refuge^(D) in him.

²¹ Surely God will crush the heads^(A) of his enemies,
    the hairy crowns of those who go on in their sins.

¹² He breaks the spirit of rulers;
    he is feared by the kings of the earth.

¹² For the nation or kingdom that will not serve^(A) you will perish;
    it will be utterly ruined.^(B)
