2 Samuel 1:21-23

^21 (A)Mountains of Gilboa,
^(B)May there be no dew nor rain on you, or fields of offerings!
For there the shield of the mighty was defiled,
The shield of Saul, not ^(C)anointed with oil.
^22 (D)From the blood of those ^[a]slaughtered, from the fat of the mighty,
^(E)The bow of Jonathan did not turn back,
And the sword of Saul did not return ^[b]unstained.
²³ Saul and Jonathan, beloved and delightful in ^[c]life,
And in their deaths they were not separated;
^(F)They were swifter than eagles,
^(G)They were mightier than lions.
