¹⁴ Josiah smashed^(A) the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles and covered the sites with human bones.^(B)

8 “‘At that time, declares the Lord, the bones of the kings and officials of Judah, the bones of the priests and prophets, and the bones^(A) of the people of Jerusalem will be removed^(B) from their graves.

⁵ I will lay the dead bodies of the Israelites in front of their idols, and I will scatter your bones^(A) around your altars.^(B)
