2 Kings 14:5-7
1599 Geneva Bible
5 ¶ And when the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, he slew his servants which had (A)killed the king his father.
6 But the children of those that did slay him, he [a]slew not, according unto that which is written in the book of the Law of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, (B)The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children put to death for the fathers: but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
7 He slew also of [b]Edom in the valley of salt, ten thousand, and took [c]the city of Sela by war, and called the name thereof Joktheel unto this day.
