²⁰ He was thirty-two years old when he became king. He reigned in Jerusalem eight years and, to no one’s sorrow, departed. However they buried him in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.

²⁵ And when they had withdrawn from him (for they left him severely wounded), ^(A)his own servants conspired against him because of the blood of the ^[a]sons of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed.
