²³ “See, therefore, and know all the secret places where he hides himself. And come back to me with certainty, and I will go with you. And if he is in the land, I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.”

²⁴ Then they arose and went to Ziph before Saul. But David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain, to the right of Jeshimon.

²⁵ When Saul and his men went to seek him, they told David. Therefore, he came down to a rock and stayed in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he followed after David in the wilderness of Maon.
