^20 (A)All the people who were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel—

²¹ that is, their descendants ^(A)who were left in the land after them, ^(B)whom the children of Israel had not been able to destroy completely—^(C)from these Solomon raised ^(D)forced labor, as it is to this day.

^17 (A)Then Solomon numbered all the aliens who were in the land of Israel, after the census in which ^(B)David his father had numbered them; and there were found to be one hundred and fifty-three thousand six hundred.

¹⁸ And he made ^(A)seventy thousand of them bearers of burdens, eighty thousand stonecutters in the mountain, and three thousand six hundred overseers to make the people work.
