²⁸ Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today:

²⁹ that Your eyes may be open toward this ^[a]temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, ^(A)‘My name shall be ^(B)there,’ that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes ^(C)toward this place.

⁴⁰ Now, my God, I pray, let Your eyes be ^(A)open and let Your ears be attentive to the prayer made in this place.

¹⁷ Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, ^(A)and ^(B)for the Lord’s sake ^[a]cause Your face to shine on ^[b]Your sanctuary, ^(C)which is desolate.

^18 (A)O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes ^(B)and see our desolations, and the city ^(C)which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.
