Hebrews 11:36-38

³⁶ And others have been tried by mockings and scourgings, and moreover by bonds and imprisonment.

³⁷ They were stoned. They were sawn in two. They were tempted. They were killed with the sword. They wandered up and down in sheep’s skins, and in goats’ skins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented.

³⁸ Those of whom the world was not worthy wandered in wildernesses and mountains, and dens, and caves of the Earth.
