9 I also verily thought in myself, that I ought to do many contrary things against the Name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 (A)Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: for many of the Saints I shut up in prison, having received authority of the High Priests, and when they were put to death, I gave my [a]sentence.
11 And I punished them throughout all the Synagogues, and [b]compelled them to blaspheme and being more mad against them, I persecuted them, even unto strange cities.
