⁷ so that you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait^(A) for the revelation^(B) of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,^[a] would give you the Spirit^[b](A) of wisdom and revelation^(B) in the knowledge of him.

⁷ and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,

⁷ so that the proven character of your faith^(A)—more valuable than gold which, though perishable, is refined by fire^(B)—may result^(C) in praise, glory, and honor^(D) at the revelation of Jesus Christ.^(E)

A Call to Holy Living

¹³ Therefore, with your minds ready for action,^(A) be sober-minded^(B) and set your hope^(C) completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation^(D) of Jesus Christ.
